TOVE STYRKE BORDERLINE

Runar had always dreamed of shooting in the most northern human settlement in the world. A place with a real and present danger of polar bears. A place near to an abandoned Soviet town. A place that requires the assistance of an armed guard at all times. So for his latest music video for Swedish pop sensation Tove Styrke’s new single Borderline, he travelled to Svalbard and Pyramiden for a week to battle polar bears (maybe) and stay in an abandoned hotel with no running water (definite).

The outcome is a stylistic fusion of intimate documentary and visual cinema; a unique film that explores the rebellion of female youth against typical every day standards and thinking.
